Less Talk time on Donut?

Has anyone else noticed that there talk time is lower with the new update? It appears to me that the battery drains significantly quicker after the most recent update.

Do you use the traffic layer in Google Maps? I find that even after closing the Map app, if I had the Traffic layer turned on that it continues to drain the battery at an increased rate. My solution is to switch the Map back to the regular Map layer.

Otherwise, I find battery life to be similar to version 1.5.
 
Not using road view and I hardly use the map at all. My friend in NJ is telling me the same thing.

And this is only for talk time as near as I can tell
 
Funny that while running around today my GPS thing kept turning on and my map layer was just the regular map.
 
Harb, I've had the GPS icon at the top of the screen activate constantly before as well. I'm not sure what triggered it, but I believe I solved it by rebooting my G1. I have only had that happen once before.
 
Well I unisntalled the weather.com app and rebooted. As soon as I went to my browser, the phone asked if google could use "my location" for better results. So I declined that and we shall see what happens.

I think that setting might have been the culprit even though my browser was not in use.

Will update later.
 
Do you have any background location app, like "locale" or some weather widget which detect where you are?
