I know that the Google Play Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 can, and the iphone 5(blasphemous I know) can.

anyone else care to share?

technically any gsm phone with the LTE 1700 band will be compatible with LTE correct? So just checking this would assure us of 4G lte connectivity correct?

I think you're right, but it might be really unstable because I believe(and don't quote me 100% on this) band 4 is two bands 1700/2100 so if it's only picking up one, I would think 4G reception wouldn't be too stellar.

A little bit worse than that, it wouldn't even work. The 1700 is the uplink band, while the 2100 is the downlink band. So if you're missing the 2100 part, it wouldn't be able to download.
