I have been dying for an android based phone.. however, I am on the network with near total dominance by crapple.
I have no problems with at&t. (believe it or not). However, I am in no way shape or form a fan of apple.. and guess what smart phone exclusive to at&t is pretty much the only smartphone on at&t's network.
Sure they have blackberry and a few others (I loved my e71x don't get me wrong). However, there hasn't been any real competition.
So is anyone else holding out hope that if verizon get iphone, at&t may get more android support?
At&t was smart to offer the backflip now (I want one.. I don't care if it is "weaker" its the best option i've seen for an android phone, I can't afford nexus one..). And hopefully at&t will realize that catering strictly to iphone as they have wasn't the best idea for a long term business strategy.
