Let's see your favorite Samsung phones!
Samsung has made some really nice phones in the past, but they're slipping lately trying to copy the competition like the iPhone's. Samsung use to have unique, beautiful phones. As you can see, I had to doctor my plain Note 4...

Mine that I still have are the Note 4, S3 & Blackjack II. The Blackjack is my all time favorite.

My stupidphone, runs on Samsung's proprietary operating system. 3G / GSM, web browser, MP3 player... .lots of functions, most of them are useless. But I do like this phone's capability of make a fake call to itself at a preset time, it's useful to make yourself excusable in some situations.

Well, now that you have asked, I thought we were looking for some "really old stuff", those of which I unfortunately allowed some friends to use "in a pinch" and they lost them..... pissed me off royally, I am going to have to quit being "Mr. Nice".

I have two Older Phones that are still "in service" sort of. They are backups for my daughter and myself.... we keep them charged and laying close at hand by our recliner or computer desks....

They are handy to grab and "take a picture" and use ASUS File Manager to send those pix to our PC's "Camera" folders.

This snapshot was taken by my "most recently retired" flagship, a Galaxy S5.... it is still a superb phone, and the ONLY reason I have "retired it" is so that my new toy, a Galaxy Note 4 can be registered on my number..... I like the Note 4 because of the larger screen which can give me larger fonts.... my 73 y/o eyes appreciate the bigger fonts.

Now, this picture was taken by the "old S5", which stays charged all the time, it has a Qi wireless charger in it.... I grab it for fast pictures like this....

This photo shows my Note 4 next to my Ole Reliable Horse, a Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate ( Verizon vernacular for the 'S' phone ) the Fascinate is now something like 6, maybe 7 years old and still using the OEM battery that came with it.

I thought it would be interesting to show the size comparison between the two phones...

the shiny stuff in the background is sometimes known as .45 ACP

The Qi Wireless charging pad, you can see is alive and well, the light is RED indicating nothing on top of it. The light turns to BLUE when it is charging something. Like the S5 right now.

My 3+ year old S3, my first smartphone. I'm extremely sentimental about this device and have not been under contract for ages. Verizon harasses me to upgrade and I scoff, I'm not giving up!

It needs a new battery I think; it drains way too quickly and I've been QI charging for 2 years or so. I have a high capacity SD card too. I took the photo with my 2+ year old Tab 3 8.0, too. ;)

*I know the case on my phone is ugly; I don't care!

batteries are cheap... buy a couple and your good to go. I just bought a battery for my blackjack II for $8 a couple weeks ago and that phone is older than your S3.

I had an S3 a while back but I had to turn it in when we went from Big Red to T-Mobile, so I don't have it anymore. I remember being pretty wowed by the screen size of other folks' S3s before I got mine. Now, it's pretty ordinary, even on the small side

I also have a purple Note 4

My Note 4 has what nearly everyone calls "Butt Ugly" case on it...

It is a military grade ballistic grip Speck Candy Shell case.... not cheap, but also use the same case on my two S5 phones.... not one of them have incurred a problem from being dropped quite high onto concrete floors.

Obviously if I were to be dropping those on concrete floors, I'd get a military grade case too...
