So with android 5.1, google implemented factory reset protection.
Essentially, this is to prevent theft, as AFTER the device boots up following a FDR it will require the login credentials of the last google account in order to continue setup. This is likely going to cause initial problems for people selling their phones. It requires that extra step may not be aware of.
But I've got some other quirks I've noticed while flashing ROMS. During the initial device setup it asks you if you want to turn on this protection, and I always decline. However, the next time I flash something, it pops up again asking me for the login information.
Has anyone else run into this?
