LG Eve vs Samsung Galaxy Lite

Hey,

I was wondering what is better the LG Eve or the Galaxy Lite and also which one has the better touch screen I really want one that is heat sensitive and not pressure based.

Like my LG Cookie when I touch it with anything it works but my iPod Touch it only works when it senses my finger heat.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hey acoole

My name is Dean. I can only speak of the LG Eve. Having never used the Samsung Galaxy. I have recently gone from using a HTC Dream to the LG Eve. In regards to the Eve there are a few things to keep in mind. When you press on the phone it has a vibration to it in response to what you've touched.

The keyboard on the Eve is good. Takes a bit of time to get used to using it. I did find that it has a plastic feel to the keys. I love the fact that it has a 3.5mm headphone jack finally someone got it right. :) The next thing i would look into is does the Galaxy offer a OS update? I know that the Eve is going to be getting a update to 1.6.

Also try looking in Youtube for video's comparing the two. Hope this is of some help.

Hi Andrew,

Well I can give you the other perspective, I am a happy owner of the Samsung Galaxy Lite (i5700) otherwise called the Portal here in the UK. I'm very happy with the phone so far no complaints. It is a thermal touch screen, cause I've tried to use pointers on it and they didn't work. Neither did using the phone with gloves on. It is currently running on Cupcake 1.5 but is going to be upgraded to 2.0 later in the month. So looking forward to that!

I've not used an Eve, but I saw the proto type in the shop and it didn't feel very solid type of phone. Also the Samsung had a slightly larger screen size.

One thing for the Eve is it has a slightly better camera spec. The eve is a 5mg and the Samsung only is 3mg. I don't really use the camera phone, so it wasn't a problem for me.

I hope this helps!
