Help LG G2 and the LG tone

I have the G2 and the LG Tone 700. I am having some issues with the controls.
I and pause tracks on pandora and restart the track as long as it was paused within the last few minutes.
However if I paused a song or a podcast and wait even 10 minutes I cant replay the track. I never had these issues with the LG OG, HTC ONE, or even the Kyocera Hydro Edge.
Does anyone have any ideas.

Are you using headphones controls or is it directly from the phone. I been having problems controlling the songs with my headphones. But they specifically say they are made iPhone. It sucks but whatever.

Controlling from the headset, I have to utlimatley restart the track from the phone.

Maybe your headset is not compatible with this phone.

it would stink that, the LG G2 wouldnt support the LG tone.

I use the LG tone not the new version the Tone+ and I have no Issues with it on Tune in radio or while listening to music via The lg music player. I don't use pandora much anymore so I can't verify that aspect. So I know it is compatible. I am looking to get the Tone+ plus though.
