Help LG G2 Bluetooth track/artist info in Car Audio

When I stream audio from my LG G2 to my car bluetooth, the track info/artist info only transfers for the Pocket Casts app, but not for any of my music apps.

Can anyone explain why this is?

Is there a music app that reliably transfers audio info via bluetooth?

Is there some setting I can switch in my phone to make it all work?

I'm an iPhone switcher, and I'm used to the audio info transferring reliably -- I assumed it would work the same way in Android.

pandora and tune in fail to transfer text to my Sony Radio, but I didn't think any app would.

might be worth investigating to see what BT profiles are supported in pocket casts, vs. the other streaming audio programs.

hmm maybe the OS doesn't support the proper version of the necessary BT profile.

It's likely app specific, and the developer probably needs to write code to send that information to the Bluetooth. The Google mission music app sends that info just fine for me in my car.
