Lurker
Two weeks ago, I broke my LG G2's screen. The acctual screen is intact, but only the bottom part of the touch panel works.
So I bought a new one off ebay. I replaced it following instructions I watched on youtube and I get this:
I know the phone boots up, because the lines change and I can recognize the boot animation and when it boots up, I can also unlock the phone (I can recognize the changes in the lines and what they look like).
So the touch screen works, but the screen doens't. I found some posts that a part of the screens circuitry (near the dock) is touching the white coaxial cable and causing problems. I tried puting a piece of tape in between but it doesn't work. I've also found that using a certain type of screen requires using a certain kernel?
Also I can't turn off my phone. I turn it off by holding the power button for 10sec, but it just restarts. I can't change the screen backto my old one (to make sure that one still works) without turning off my phone, or should I just do it?
I'm using a custom ROM btw.
Thanks
