Help LG G2

Fredccs

Newbie
I know this is not the thread for this but I just got a LG G2 from a friend that's from ATT, I have the phone unlocked, when I put on the Tmobile Sim Card it recognizes it and you are able to make phone calls the data works etc etc...

But when I put on the MetroPCS sim card it recognizes it but no data works and when you try to make a phone call it just says EMERGENCY CALL ONLY...

does the LG G2 from ATT work on metropcs network ???

AT&T is a GSM network so the LG G2 for AT&T is a GSM phone. MetroPCS is still mostly a CDMA network (a few area's have started converting over to GSM because of the T-Mobile/MetroPCS merger). A GSM phone is not going to work on a CDMA network and vice versa.

a few areas? back in june they were ahead of schedule. the only struggling market was detroit and even that was converted over now. everyone else has had gsm for months.

Metro makes you pair the sim card first before it works on their GSM network. Give them a call or head into a corporate store.

Really? I must be talking to the wrong people at the MetroPCS dealer near my house. It isn't a corporate store and that might be why I am being told different. I live in Los Angeles and they keep telling me that they haven't even started switching over L.A. yet. Either I need to talk directly to a corporate store because a dealer store doesn't have a clue or L.A. isn't as big a market as one would think it would be.

they are probably clueless. seeing as all the new phones are gsm. blue s3, s4, exhibit and all of them would have to be on tmobiles gsm network to be working.
