Help LG G3 Default Messaging App Can't Load GIFs

Hi, I recently switched over to Verizon from Sprint (LOVE IT BY THE WAY) and I switched from a Samsung Galaxy S4 to a LG G3. The only problem is I don't use the default messaging app which was the Verizon Messaging+ instead I used the other app preinstalled on the LG just called "Messaging" but it doesn't load GIFs. People send me GIFs but my phone changes it to a jpeng and I can't enjoy the fun Please help, any assistance is appreciated.
