Help LG G3 FM Tuner turned off by LG before shipping?

The specs for my new AT&T version LG G3 says I have an FM Tuner as an integrated component, but the phone did not come with the expected FM Radio app. AT&T store sales person says it was likely disabled by the company (his best guess). Any idea how to get the FM tuner working. Goggle play app store had no tuner app that would work with my phone at least for the two popular ones I tried.

It certainly does seem that it's disabled in ATT G3s. If the problem is just software then you might find this XDA link useful.

However, if the information in this post is correct they've probably disabled it at the hardware level, in which case no app can fix it. As the author of that post is the developer of the most serious FM apps for devices which have the hardware but lack the software, I would be inclined to take what he writes quite seriously.
