Help Lg g3 help

i just bought a brand new lg g3 , great phone , works great , but it asks me to update my software every single day , i did it 3 times in the past 3 days . Iwas and still on 4.4.2.

In the update center /software update a small red 1 is always on i press it and choose install now it restarts and then goes into installation mode ,"updating software 1and2/2" from 0% to 100% and then turns on directly , "android is optimizing ..." , and then same

Not all updates change the OS version, especially if the update comes from the carrier rather than the manufacturer. But yeah, this doesn't sound like it's working. How quickly does it go from 0% to 100%?

I'm tempted to suggest trying clearing the cache partition (which I hope you can do from recovery without doing a factory reset - I always have a custom recovery, so can't recall what the stock one lets you do). The downloaded update should be there, so if it isn't working deleting it will either remove the notification or prompt it to download again. But if you try this don't wipe anything other than cache, and if you can't see an option just to wipe cache then just reboot.

Well 1/2 is pretty quick but 2/2 takes some time maybe 3 minutes or so
