LG G5 and USB nomenclature

First thank you to everyone for their efforts.
On most sites the lg g5 has 3.0 quick charge. It gets quite confusing is the LG G5 is USB 2.0 or 3.0 or dare I say 3.1

I wanted to take your post and make it into its own thread as I am curious, and researching this also
I did find this article, and from what I understand, the G5 (among other devices) has the USB type-c that supports 3.1?

From what I gather, the 2.0, or 3.0, 3.1 is the transfer speed?
It's getting confusing to me.

I still don't believe LG is stated what the LG G5 will have.
