One of the reasons Benson Leung -- a reviewer of USB Type-C cables -- recommended against buying the LG G5 was because its USB Type-C port was non-compliant due to the fact that the phone implements Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
But new evidence seems to suggest LG is using a technique that supports both Quick Charge 3.0 and the standard USB Power Delivery standard that Google uses for their latest Nexus Phones.
