LG G6 Performance and Overheating Issues

My LG G6 (India unit) has got serious overheating issues from the 1st day. The temperature reaches around 40°C just after 5 to 10 minutes of light usage. Is there any other user facing the same problem? Shall I replace my unit?

Also, my Antutu testing benchmark gave a score of 90036, which is way below the score of what online reviewers used to get.

I never pay any attention to synthetic benchmarks, but if your phone is hot then it's likely to throttle to protect the battery, in which case that would affect benchmarks.

As for the temperature, what is the ambient temperature where you are? If it's in the 30s then the phone rising to 40 after a few minutes use might be perfectly reasonable.

I have noticed that after a few minutes of use with heavy network traffic, my G6 will get a little warm, but that's only very infrequently. I tend not to trust benchmarks too much, but I don't experience sluggishness at all. You might want to consider having it replaced.
