It's an argument that's been rehashed many times. The biggest benefit of a fixed battery is that you can fit a larger capacity battery in the same size device. It also allows you to eliminate all of those complaints about flimsy-feeling creaking backs that were a feature of every Samsung review for years (or "give the device a premium feel" as the marketing people would put it). The drawback is of course that you can't swap the battery without surgery.Yes that is a thing in the past that made sense then. Now waterproof and dust proof seems to make more (sense?) profit.
