lg gt 540 optimus not downloading applications

I am trying to download applications from android market with my lg gt 540 optimus phone, but it was not possible to download. It was showing message download was unsuccessful please try later. please solve my problem

Try clearing data and cache from the Play Store. You can do this from Settings - Apps - Play Store, and then clear data. Hopefully this will help.
