LG GT540 Freezing

Hi, im new to this site so sorry if i've posted this in the wrong area :0)

I have a LG GT540

I did the android update from the 1.6 to the 2.1.

I downloaded everything that i needed followed the instructions ect. It started to update pretty quick but when it goto 66% it stayed on that % for 8 hours.

I thought it was pretty weird that it would be taking that long so I called LG customer support before i done everything . I explained to the women what was going on and she told me to just pull the USB out and try to do the update again, i asked if this would do anything to my phone and she said no i so did what she told me to do, STUPID lol

Anways now my phone wont even start up, it gets past the LG logo onto my service providers logo then freezes. I've tried all the reboots suggestions but nothing.

I think everything's been deleted, all the running programs, everything.

Is it possible to load everything back on to the phone? assuming this is the problem.

Any advice or suggestion will be very much appreciated.

Thanks for reading
