My daughter has an LG Optimus F3, and says she is unable to open her contacts and photos. She tried turning off and restarting the phone, and that hasn't helped. I think the phone may be critically low on memory; which has happened before. I don't think she has been backing up her contacts, and she will lose her contacts and photos if she does a factory reset. My questions are: 1) Does it sound like a critically low memory issue, and if not, what else could be causing it?, and 2) How can she save/back up her contacts and photos if she is currently unable to open them? If someone thinks it might be a different issue other than memory, please recommend other troubleshooting/solutions. I don't know how much free memory the phone has now (since she's not home with the phone), but we will check that later when she is home. Thank you for your help.

I am the same poster--I was able to post yesterday without registering. The phone has plenty of memory. I was able to download the photos off it to a computer, but we were unable to synch her contacts. Synching kept failing. We did a factory reset twice, the second time after pulling the battery and SD card, and reinstalling the battery. Upon the factory reboots, the messages now coming up are: "Unfortunately, com.lge.email has stopped working," "Unfortunately, gallery has stopped working," and "Unfortunately, contacts has stopped working." I am able to activate the phone, but when I try to open the phone app, it won't open and I get the message about contacts has stopped working. I'm thinking it's either the phone processor itself or the battery. Please advise if there is anything that can be done. Thank you.
