Hi,
I dropped my phone head first in a cup with an inch of water in it. I did the rice thing but it didn't work. When I put the battery in, the flash lit up. It turned on for a minute then gave me a high heat warning and i removed the battery immediately. Now it won't go on. I took it to a repair shop because, of course, i didn't backup my calendar in google(!) and I'm lost without it. They couldn't fix it. My SD card has a file on it called "LG Backup" with a recent date. There is also a contact file with all my contacts on it. Unfortunately, the calendar folder is empty
. So my questions are:
1) If I buy a new LG Optimus F3, can I restore from the LG Backup file on my SD card from the old, dead phone?
2) Could I get my contacts back? I see them with the .avi extension in the contact file on the SD card.
3) What are the odds of any calendar info being in that backup - even though the individual calendar file is empty?
4) can you suggest anything else I could try to access the internal memory? I am not tech savvy so I may be missing something obvious...or these questions may be laughable.
I would really appreciate any help, but please don't abuse me if my questions are stupid. I really don't know much about this stuff. Sorry if it's stupid and I'm wasting your time.
Thanks,
Mel
