LG Optimus vs HTC One X Plus

I have an upgrade coming next month. Looking at LG Optimus G and the HTC One X plus. The most important things to me are camera, txting and calender, todo. Best screen also.

Which one should I choose? Not interested in the S3 btw.

noob here with a quick question, why are so many people anti LG. As I read sites most people are very upset with the prospect of a LG nexus even though the specs seems very nice

Because LG has a horrible track record for updating its phones. Horrible as in they don't..... Though it's a nexus device meaning Google should handle the updates as its stock android but many are still skeptical myself included though I must admit it's extremely tempting.

Get the LG Nexus 4 (which is based on the LG Optimus G) when it comes out in a week or two.

You'll get the Google updates on time.

Provided the specs are right for you personally (e.g. in my case storage).

Back to the OP, I don't think text/calendar/todo are an issue, as there are many apps for these, so you don't have to use what comes with the phone. Camera, screen, battery and (if you don't intend to root) software+updates are more determined by the handset choice, and build quality of course. We probably know most about the One X+ at this point as it has a lot in common with the One X, but we'll know about the others soon.
