Lg stylo 2 has a activate device button in settings all of a sudden. Phone is already active

The phone use to be mine actually but I passed it on to my man because his broke. So anyhow was showing him something in the phone the other day when i noticed the activate this device button. Besides that stylo 2 I had 2 other and they didnt have that. Never seen on any phone actually. I have my own theory but, I cant verify it. So does anyone know why its there now? Or where it came from? I hit it when I seen it, it said log into your account to get data log for this device... I called boost of course their clueless. Thank you for reading. FYI I have the Virgin Mobile version and the Activate this device is in my settings also. I have not tried to see what it does if I open it with my phone being activated already for over a year but just to confirm it is there.
