Help lg stylo 3 phone stuck powering on

JHBeast

Lurker
for a few hours now i have been attempting to restart the phone, but since telling it to restart for the past several hours it keeps going through the logo screens then saying "android is starting do not turn off phone" but then only goes back to the logo screens and repeats.

how do i get the phone to come on and work?

note: please do not say to press and hold the vol down and power button, i have already tried that and it does nothing.
i have also tried removing the sd card, removing the battery, unplugging/plugging it in.
so far none of the above has helped any.

Have you tried holding the power button down for longer than 15 seconds?
yes i have tried that. several times actually.
i just tried again, held the power button down for exactly a min and it still did nothing, just the same routine, logo screens, then saying andriod is starting do not turn off.

Well, we all have heard of the LG bootloop issue but I have not heard of a solution. Possibly some solutions are out there though. I do believe LG has moved past this problem now. Good luck.

Did you try clearing the dalvic cashe?
That's done through the recovery menu. (Yes, that does mean you need to use both the power and volume buttons when booting. ... That's why that [key/button] combination is available. "Recovery")

yes i have tried that as i said but it does nothing and gives no menu or options.
i tried the following combinations,
volume+ and power
volume- and power
both volume buttons at the same time and power
and every combo by itself.

no menu, no options, just the logo screens and android is starting and repeat.
i wish i could get said recovery menu, worth the factory reset just to get it working.

Leaves me wondering which variant you have. If it's the Boost variant (LS 777) that Should function correctly unless someone found a way to make changes or you could have wound up with a "lemon" somehow, I've had two Boost LS 777 lemons myself.
