Help LG Ultimate wont connect to ps3

I've been trying to hook my ultimate 2 up to my ps3 but all its doing is showing the usb icon with the message "slowly charging " on my phone and the ps3 is recognizing something hooked up but it wont let me see anything. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not going to work. I've never had trouble hooking up till this android.

Well I figured out a solution. I just put my SD card in my husband's old school LG Optimus Dynamic and it worked just fine. But still would like to know if theres a way to hook up my Ultimate 2.
