Help LG update does nothing.

Hello everyone. My first post here. I'm a newbie to android, so please bear with me.

I have an LG Eve. It comes with Android 1.5 (firmware v10a). I downloaded the LG update tool. I let it run. It downloads over 100Mb of data. The phone restarts, goes into emergency mode, it appears to be updating, then restarts again and the LG software says its finished. When I check my phone, everything is there, my contacts, still my old 1.5 Android. What am I doing wrong? I've tried it many times from different computers, and always the same result.

I tried doing a factory reset on the phone and did the process again and still everything still there. Any ideas?

There is 2 file that you need to download, they are driver files. make sur you have installed them.

Other then that there is some visual instruction on the LG website to do the update step by step. Make sure you follow it word by word.
