LG v10 or LG v20? Or something else?

I am currently an iPhone user, looking to change to Android. I'm a sound engineer and musician who is not impressed with the audio capabilities with the iPhone, and has become frustrated with iTunes, Apple Music, the Cloud, not to mention sans headphone jack on the 7. The v10 seems awesome when it comes to audio, with the ESS DAC, microphones and high res capabilities. I would also love to have a phone that I could just record some rehearsals on the fly with pretty good sound quality. The new v20 is also looking pretty good. My question is, do people with v10's highly recommend this phone for the audio capabilities, are you looking to upgrade to the v20 (do you think the new changes will be overwhelmingly better), or do you recommend an entirely different phone for audio like the HTC 10?

Thank you, all thoughts are appreciated!

I'm a big fan of the V10, and having left Samsung a year ago to make the switch to LG, I am now a LG/V series fan. So I would recommend the V20 since it updates some features from the V10. Since you want a device with good audio qualities the Quad DAC is something you will really like. I still hold replaceable battery as a deal-breaking feature. For me it still makes 10 times the sense of quick or wireless charging.

I have a LG v10 and Galaxy G7. I switched to G7 when I changed carriers. It's not a bad phone but every night when I get home from work I grab my v10 and use it with my internet connection. If I'm going to be taking pictures I grab the v10. My G7 is my communication device. For everything else I use my v10. When it comes time to get a new phone I'll be getting the v20 or whatever LG v# is out at the time. It's just a better all around phone. My wife went as high as the iPhone 6s plus before jumping ship (she started with the original iPhone). She loves her v10 and doesn't miss her iPhone at all.
