LG V20 Power Button Issues

I have had my LG V20 for almost a year. Over the last couple of months, I've been having an issue with the phone's power button/fingerprint scanner. About 5-10% of the time I press it, the screen does not turn on/off. After experimenting, I've found that when I don't press almost exactly in the center of the power button, it does not work. My question is, is this issue going to get worse (i.e. will it get to the point where the power button will stop working completely)? Or is this just a common inconvenience?

Possibly needs cleaning. I don't know how to clean it though. Possibly compressed air?

Tried compressed air, and it is working better now. Not perfect, but it's much better and much less annoying. Thanks for the suggestion!

Keep clean compressed air then you can easily solved issue.
