Help LG V20 Wifi Dropping Out

I'm having a major problem with the wifi connection on my V20 disconnecting every few minutes while at home. I have an Xfinity router and haven't had any connection problems before. About once every 5-15 minutes I get a notification that the phone had disconnected from my wifi, then it reconnects about 30-60 seconds later. Anyone else having this issue? I didn't have the problem with my iPhone 6, my laptop, or my wife's S7 Edge.
 
Didn't somebody else just post about this? I think it turned out to be an att app that was switching it off and off.
 
And did you experiment with the settings in "advanced wifi", eg switching to data, staying on when screen is off etc?
 
I'm having the same issue on the Korean (F800K) version. Have "Keep Wi-Fi on when screen is off," but Wi-Fi keeps connecting and disconnecting every minute or so when screen is on.

When the screen is off, I know the Wi-Fi or data isn't working properly because my WhatsApp web doesn't work.

I tried turning off Smart Settings, clearing Wi-Fi settings. None worked.
 
I've been having my WiFi disconnect quite frequently ever since I got the phone, but it's gotten considerably worse over the past few days - not sure if it's related to a system update I installed a few days ago (I'm on Verizon). This morning it's been disconnecting every 10 seconds or so, while it used to stay connected for a few minutes at a time.

If I can't find a fix for it, this issue combined with my absolutely horrid GPS tracking may lead me to return or at least try to exchange the phone, if I still can at this point.
 
so I get disconnected on occasion. BUT my home wifi is spotty in areas and I know this. so I get to a weak point and it will say disconnected. but then reconnect.

I'm on VZ also and other than those few instances (it's probably less than once per week) I've had no issues. SO I've got to ask this. Xfinity router/modem right? How big is your house? when does the connection drop?

OH one more thing - turn off your phone - take off the back plate - remove battery. reinstall, replace cover place and ensure is it fully engaged with the pins on the back of the body. That's an antenna connection but I don't know for which antenna. you'll see the back plate has a line etched in that goes up to and around the cammera oval. Make sure that's snug.

then reboot phone.
 
I posted this over at the v20 subreddit just now. It worked for me.

Hey, I had an issue with my v20. The wifi disconnects sporadically when the screen is on, and doesn't connect when the screen is off. The option to keep wifi on when screen is off is set to "Yes" in the advanced wifi settings, but it still disconnects.

SOLUTION: Under General settings > battery and power savings > battery usage > ignore optimizations > scroll down to slide bar to right to disable/ignore Wi-Fi.

Worked for me, Cheers
 
Having the same issue. Nothing here has worked for me so far
