LG V30: How to adjust App Scaling

You can adjust how apps are displayed with a feature called "App Scaling." By default, apps are displayed in a 16.7:9 aspect ratio (18:9 minus the nav bar). This works completely fine for the majority of apps.

Some apps won't take up the full screen. To adjust how they look, swipe from the bottom of the display to bring up the nav buttons. You'll see a button for app scaling on the left. Every app has 3 choices:
  • Compatibility (16:9)
  • Standard (16.7:9)
  • Full screen (18:9)
If an app doesn't look right in Standard or Full screen, you can force it to be in Compatibility mode. You can also adjust App Scaling in the Settings.
  1. Go to Settings > Display
  2. Select App scaling
  3. Tap the app you want to adjust
  4. Choose one of the options
