I bypassed the activation so I could use the WiFi , but now I want to get it activated is this possible or did I screw it up by bypassing it first.?

Welcome to AF, if you like to activate your device call Verizon and let them know you would like to activate your phone. They will ask for imei info because its a cdma device. I recommend calling from another device because you might have to look in the battery area.
