I own an LG Vortex and the market doesen’t work. It won’t let me accept the goddamn terms! And when it lets me, the rest of it breaks! What is going on and how do I fix it?

Android Market was replaced by Google Play Store and Services in 2012. I don't think that low spec device will support Android currently and Verizon stopped supporting their version long ago.

I'm not totally sure if you can try and download Play Store now.

Is it still on your account?

You can get direct help from Google via a browser or another device. You can check if your original account still lists that device under your devices (unlikely if it hasn't been used for years . You can start a new Google / Gmail account on it, as Factory Reset Protection doesn't apply here, but it sounds a fruitless exercise.

This version came out in 2010

Hold out for better advice than mine. Someone should be able to help more. I'm just pointing out the basic issues you face.

If the browser on the device will get online, just goto an app store that way.

Older devices are hard pressed to work with modern apps, so the browser method will give better results.

With a device that old, you will want to keep the size and number of apps at minimum.

It would help if you could say exactly what type of app you want to install.

I have an old Gingerbread device that I stream music with occasionally.
