LG39C "Case"

I bought a case that is for the LG Optimus L4 II E440 which DOES fit the L39C with some slight mods. I still don't like it though. The on/off and volume controls are a pita to use with it on. Without it though the phone is rather slippery but a lot thinner too which is nice.

I saw on another forum that someone had coated the back case of the L39C with Plasti Dip. I'm familiar with it as guys use it on car wheels and some even coat the rear of their cars with it.

I'm going to coat my L39c with it tomorrow (when SWMBO isn't home - she can't handle weird smells). I'll post a review and pics when done.

Seems like a good idea to me, but that's no guarantee. ;)

I'm impressed, even if I do say so myself. +1 for Plasti-dip solution! It's THIN and eliminates the phone being slippery problem but the control buttons aren't covered and a PITA to use! HIGHLY recommend.

Caveat: Now this doesn't offer the protection of a rubber case but if you are someone like me who's pretty careful with things, that shouldn't be a problem.

Unfortunately I have to withdraw my positive review of using Plasti-Dip on the L39c back. While it looked GREAT, it didn't last long even under exTREMELY light use. It started to peel off this morning and again, that was with about as light of use as you could possibly give it. So, now I'm back to a slippery phone 'cause the only case I found with the potential of working is a PITA. <sigh>
