LGG5, Cam plus not working / USB tether isn't either

Bought a Lg G5 with cam plus as bonus (99$ value) at Telus. That phone wasn't communicating with google servers, so I couldn't do squat with the phone. The Cam Plus wasn't working either from what I had saw.

I returned the first LG G5 to Telus, and also returned the Cam plus. Got a new one, phone works (yay!) , Cam plus, never worked once so far on this phone either. I tried charging the cam plus for a few hours with nothing happening there either. Tried charging both at same time (cam plus installed) , nothing working (I do get a red flashing light 0n cam plus though) When everything is unplugged from charger though, i get no red light on cam plus.. The friends manager says it is paired with the cam plus. Weird.

Usb tether option is grayed out too. I don't get that either.

Nothing even happens when I plug my phone in my PC.

Regarding your USB issues,have you enabled USB De-Bugging?

After completing the above,plug-in to your PC.you may need to wait for driver installation,give it a few minutes.
Once that is complete,you'l get a pop-up on your phone prompting permission to transfer files from phone to PC.
If you still get nothing,leave the phone plugged-in & pull down on the navigation bar,the options for USB Connections may be there.

As for the LG G5 Cam Plus,hopefully others will join the conversation.
However,if there are few to no responses,this is likely due to the low number of people who have this module,check over @ XDA-Developers if no responses are forthcoming here:
