Okay guys - here's the scenario.
i'm in T-Mobile on Sunday returning my Note 7. That turned into a royal cluster#$%@. Folks in the store were awesome - T-Mobile's processes - not so much.
Customer comes in - undecided whether ot not to return. T-Mobile rep tells him 35 cases worldwide . . blah, blah, blah. Customer is obviously away of the (at that point) voluntary recall. They leave the store - phone catches fire either at home, or in their vehicle. They sue - because everyone does.
I'm thinking, even though the consumer made the decision to keep the devise, that Samsung would still be held liable in a court of law.
Thoughts???
