Lifeproof cases

i have a fre lifeproof case on my s5 which I love, I know the phone is waterproof but I still have it on my phone. A friend says I'm silly having a lifeproof case on a waterproof phone.
Anyone else use this case?

The s5, is only "Water Resistant", so any method of keeping it that way, can't hurt.
