Light notification issue

Live lg2- coming from a g4.

But is there a way to may the notification lights blink for say only 20mins? Mine blinked all night! Kept me up. Lol
 
If you go into Settings and click Display, all the way at the bottomg there is a switch to turn off the notification light and/or change colors or which notifications you want on/off. I am just curious though, if it kept you up all night, why wouldn't you just check the phone and dismiss the notification so the light goes out?
