link in text message?

[Android Question]

Someone sent me a text and part of it was highlighted like a link but it wasn't supposed to be one so I clicked on it and it took me to the google maps for a hotel. Why? Was it cause the person who sent it was at the hotel? Is it a virus?

Welcome to AF, don't worry about it. All the person did was sent you their location. Nothing to worry about.
