so my friend sent me a link to ebay and it keeps opening up the playstore, i have to ebay app downloaded. But it continues to open up the playstore and take me to the ebay page in there, i chose "open" to open the ebay app but it just opens up ebay, dosnt take me to the page. i tried going into the settings/apps and deleting the "defaults" for messaging and it didnt help, and it says that there is no "defaults" for the ebay app or playstore.. please help as it is very annoying. oh i have a sony ion. thanks

Hmmm. I am not familiar with the eBay app specifically, but you might be able to open the link in a browser in you go to menu>settings>apps> and find the eBay app, click on it and clear defaults. This way when you click on an eBay link it would give you option how to open it. Mind you, i don't have the app so I'm just guessing here.

My husband and I have the same issue. He shares an item via text, directly from the item in the ebay app. Example below.

Yeah after trying your link it does it to me too.. maybe selecting the id alone and search that in ebay?

That's what we have to do, might as well search it myself. It does the same thing if we share via NFC. This didn't always happen either. My only thought is that something changed when it upgraded to Lollipop.
