Help Links not opening in Android Forums

KBU2

Android Expert
Okay just recently I've been having issues with opening links in AF, none can be opened to apps someone post to Google Play Store. If I tick on a link a message appear stating no such app found. I pretty much know how to Rectify this problem but I'm trying not to do a factory reset on my device because the soft restart is not having any effect on fixing the issue. Is anybody else having this issue using Chrome on their Android device? I'm currently running Chrome 69.0.3497.100 version stocked in a Samsung 7 Note.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated:thinking:

Now if I long press on a link in AF I would have to download it and then it will go straight to the online version of Google Play Store that's Illustrated below:

fwiw, I'm not having your issue. Not very helpful I know , just letting you know.
I'm on the same Chrome version on my G7, and clicking on the link brings me straight to the play store app.

My screenshot is similar to your first screenshot.:

Well this is somewhat of an anomaly and I was getting pretty bored with this device anyway. Now I got something to do now. I just found out it's not only Chrome it's every search engine I use. I kind of like that up to a point because I didn't like having to go to a browser and click on a link to copy and it automatically goes straight to the Play Store from trying to share a link. I should be more careful for what I wish for huh?
Ohh snap I sent Google a feedback some time ago in requesting a separation from forums and links because of the Play Store issue. Do you think Google could have singled out my account and made that happened by chance?

I doubt it, but try going incognito and try the link bit.

It's strange that I requested this and it happened just as would have liked it to. But if those eggheads did this without me expecting this kind of creeps me out a little.

Okay I figured it out I forgot I was running F Droid and Google Play Store and I forget to set which store to open, so I changed it back to the Play Store to open for apps and not open in link.
