Newbie
I've had 3 Android phones, just got a new one, running 6.0.1. I'd like to add some basic apps, but most seem to be crammed with unnecessary access to things like my pics, etc., advertising, etc. The "Play Store" and the ratings there don't seem to care about this, surprise surprise. Is there another good app source or list anywhere of apps which AREN'T just trying to spy on you & peddle crap?
 
Well, as far a spying you're going to see that in the negative reviews right away, but most of the "free" are paid for by the advertising, so if you want to get rid of it you probably will have to look at paid alternatives.
