Root List of my Favorite Roms

I have been experimenting with several different roms for the huawei m835 and these are my top three:

1. Miui (v6) for the Huawei u8150.

2. Cyanogen mod 6 for the Huawei Ascend.

3. DroniX (v4) for the Huawei m835.

Note: If you like any roms that are not on this list, please feel free to comment and tell me. I would like to try them out. Thanks.
 
May I please get a link to the MIUI v6, i have tried everywhere to get it only to get an error status 7 installing... Thanks for future reference!
 
I couldn't tell you, what error does it give you sir?

Ah okay so far so good managed to install CWM by tricking it into thinking it's a u8150 in the build.prop from cm7.2 ascend :) Installed three different Roms of MIUI ports for u8150 on my m835, the first two had buggy screen issues but were really good the last one i flashed killed my CWM and has no root no wifi and cant adb to work :( going to try to put in a update.zip to see if i can revive this lad

a few others I've tried but they suck and I know he works hard but playful gods rooms are crap
ics cm 9 is way cool
 
well can yu do better lol ... well 50% of his ROMS work for m835 . he should have continued on it . and i the only one that noticed its like a modded ascend rom ? but with new kernel .

How about saying that PG's roms dont work for you, or just arent to your liking... they work fine for me... calling them crap is just disrespectful and downright rude.

I am running u8150 CM7.2 Nightly from 9-9-2012, only a few things like screen rotation and key backlight's don't work, else everything else is "tits"...
 
Do you still run cm7? Was it particularly hard to get fully operational? I have used mate5 for a few months, and find it laggy. Much better than stock, but want something fast like dronix 0.4 on a T-mobile comet(u8150).

If your talking to me...

The m835 I have is running the latest nightly CM7.2.x (its no longer a nightly really... its a weekly, but has the nightly tag, released every sunday). I made changes from PG's build.prop and a few other config related files before I flashed it, so I cant say if it will run fine right out of the box.
The only issues I have/had are that auto-rotation doesn't work, the backlights for the capacitive keys and the buttons. There was something else I posted in another thread... I just cant remember it at the moment...

OH! I dont have service on the device! So I cannot test Call/Data/SMS/MMS! (Besides WiFi... because that works without issue) Ill post it up if someone wants to give it a go live (just dont forget to BACKUP your previous rom in-case it doesnt work).


*Disclaimer: not a developer... AT ALL, I opened this file with an archive tool (my preference is Power Archiver), edited the files after running WinMerge to diff the files, then made sure the saved files got added to the archive, then flashed... THATS IT!
 
I would definitely try it, I have monthly nandroid backups on my laptop. I downloaded pg's cm7.2 port, but this is my only cell with service. (Evo 4g) is just a toy. I'll be a guinea pig if multitouch works. I have a synaptics screen, so I would benefit from an upgrade tremendously. Btw, I was asking for your opinion. Thank you in advance, I hope you post a link soon.
 
Anyway to get mms working? Mate5 works, I really want something that has no bugs, but am willing to put a little work into it to get it fully operational.

yes i agree it was bad wording and rude i do apoligize to playful god.
i am now using cm10 it works good accept wifi is the only thing i can find that does not work.
