Hi all,
Wonder if any of you helpful souls can lend a hand on this one please? I work in the middle of nowhere on 12 acres, looking after the grounds, often using very noisy machinery. I am radio mad and as I work on my own, it helps to relive the boredom, by listening to the radio, the only problem is, is that I have the earphones in as usual, and the ear protection headphones on, and I can hardly hear the radio! Is there a phone/app where the volume can go much higher than usual? The phone needs to be roughly the same size as my current phone, as it sits in a leather holder on my belt, and the phone is a Samsung Galaxy mini S4. Also, I've tried it on ordinary radio and get interference and listening via internet radio, it keeps going into buffering mode.

Any help much appreciated.

Chris.

Thanks for the replies - sorry for late reply, didn't seem to get any emails on it? Are there any recommended volume-boosting apps please?

Instead of trying an "app" booster..there's a mod volume booster..that definitely works..there's one for S4..

I took a look at that link but what they are talking about is way over my head and I suspect it is over the average user's heads as well. I think that's why many of us would end up using an app versus a mod. I also would like the volume higher but am not fond of inviting apps with pop-ups onto my phone

It's not that hard..all you have to do is download it..then turn your phone off..then go into recovery mode..and flash it..then that's that..

Turn your phone on and enjoy your muuuuuuuuuuch higher volume.

I used to surfer the same in my §5..since that's one of the cons in my type of phone..not any more..now there could be a lot of noise around me..I still can hear the super loud speaker of my phone..that's priceless.

Any way..let me know.

I would be willing to try but they showed several different downloads in that link and I have no idea which one would be for me specifically

I meant one specifically for my phone since there seems to be a lot of different S4 versions or does it work for all, or at least most, of the Galaxy S4's?

Check you phone for an HAC (hearing aid capability) setting. If you find it, enable it, and let us know what magically happens...
