Apps ListView items appears fine on emulator but not on phone?

I write a program in which 10 items appears on the list view and it works fine on emulator and I can see all items I am expecting. But when I install on Samsung captivate, its showing only 5.

How is these 10 items chosen? Are they hardcoded? Gotten from a database? Internet?
