That's the user switcher. Take a look at Settings > System > Advanced > Multiple users. If you only have a single user profile on the phone, you can disable the feature to remove the blue face at the corner of the lock screen.

Yes, you could have a different face per user but it won't auto-switch between the profiles based on face alone. You'd still have to activate the switcher on the lock screen to change profiles.

Interesting, I like the idea... Really would like just 2 different faces in it though.
