Little white dot in display

hi everybody, i'm new to this forum, over from the galaxy player forum. I just purchased my first tablet the other day, a galaxy tab 3 8.0. wow what a nice little device, a HUGE upgrade from a galaxy player. anyway a few days after getting it, I notice while in the email app setting up my email a little white dot (about the size of a pixel or 2 ) in the bottom left hand of the screen. I did some searching and am really not sure what it is. I don't think it is a dead pixel as they are black from what I have read. I don't think it is a stuck pixel either as it is NOT visible on a black screen. funny thing is it is more visible the lighter the color on the screen. I ran numerous pixel fixing apps to no avail. also tried tapping, pushing on and rubbing screen, still there. I also tried a factory reset and took aff the screen protector just to be extra sure that it was the actual screen and not something under the screen protector, no luck.
I finally sent it back to amazon for an exchange, the new one should be here in a day or two.
does anyone else have this on their screen/know what it is? I am just curious. it appears to just be a defect. you can easily check by running a bad pixel detector app which basically just turns the screen all one solid color (which you can choose) and the "bad" part is easily visible this way.

Ya the dot is definitely not normal, after noticing it I don't think I could of used the tablet in peace ever again. Anybody else have this?
