Apps Live streaming 3gp files not working on some android devices

I am creating a application where i am trying to live stream a 3gp video. I am able to play the video in the eclipse emulator. Its also working on some android device but not in all.If i am downloading the file and playing it, its working but not when streaming it live.

Is live streaming of 3gp files not supported in android phones?Any solutions to resolve this would be a great help.

As the developer of one of the more popular video apps on the android market, I have yet to get 3gp to work on Android. I am unable to share the best method to use, as its not commonly known. Releasing that information would increase my competition.
