I am in India and having sony ericson w8 phone with android os.Is it possible to view TV on this phone without internet connection

Hopefully someday soon having a digital mobile tv tuner chip built into smartphones will be the norm...I'm not holding my breath though...

It makes a lot of sense because it will solve a huge bandwith problem, but its all about $$$$...Hopefully the carriers and broadcasters can find a happy medium

Some countries do have a digital TV services intended for mobile reception. But they do require a specific phones with built-in tuners. We've got such a service here, but so far it seems to be a fail. Not many want to watch live-TV on their phones, let alone pay for it.

As I know sony ericson w8 phone do not own the module to receive the TV signal. So I am afraid that you can not watch Live TV without internet.
