loading launcher / reflashing OS miui

Hey,

Someone put in their Wind SIM card into my Xiaomi Phone 2 (MI-2), and now "loading launcher" pops up every couple seconds, making it impossible to do anything.

Has anyone seen/dealt with this before?
If not, I suppose I'll just reflash the OS...

note, I use Koodo.
