Loading movies thru MotoUSB - into gallery?

Hi - I am brand new to my Maxx, so I know this is probably going to be a very basic question. I loaded a movie on last night using MotoUSB, put it in as a video, and it still came through as part of My Gallery with all my pictures. I've found it through My Files, but that seems like a very clunky way to get there. I had an LG Spectrum for about a week before I decided to exchange it for the Maxx, and that had a much more intuitive (and obvious) layout for media. I've got to be missing something here - I guess I'm expecting it to work like an iPod where you just click on "Videos" and there they are!

Also, how do I load "sounds" so they're available as ringtones? I figured that out right away on the Spectrum and can't figure it out on the Maxx. This phone is making me feel stupid....

Gallery is a collection of media. You can filter what you see there by clicking on top bar. Clicking on any playable music (long press on songs name if I remember correctly) will give you an option to set it as ringtone or notification sound. Ringdroid app in the market will allow you to cut out just the part you want, such as chorus. There are a lot of options for customizing you're device.
